Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters

For many people, healing doesn’t happen only in therapy, it happens through connection, comfort, and the quiet presence of an animal who makes the world feel a little safer. If you’re considering an Emotional Support Animal (ESA), I offer compassionate and clinically appropriate evaluations to determine whether an ESA letter is right for you.

An ESA letter isn’t just a form — it’s a recognition of the emotional support your companion provides. During our evaluation, we’ll explore your mental health history, current challenges, and the specific ways your animal helps reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, or trauma responses. The process is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in your lived experience.

I take time to understand your cultural background, identity, and the unique stressors you may be navigating — whether that’s immigration stress, family expectations, queer identity, or chronic overwhelm. You won’t be judged, dismissed, or rushed.

If clinically appropriate, you’ll receive a legally compliant ESA letter and outlines your need in a clear, supportive way. I’ll also guide you through what your rights are, how to use your letter, and what to expect when submitting it to housing providers. Please be aware I do not accept insurance for the letter.

This assessment is based on the mental health needs of the client and not an assessment of the animal. Emotional Support Animals are not legally protected in Florida and are different from qualified service animals.
